ETAcheck is a free information service that helps travellers quickly understand whether they need a UK Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) or visa before visiting the United Kingdom.
ETAcheck is NOT affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the UK Government, Home Office, or any official body. We do not process visa or ETA applications. All applications must be made through the official GOV.UK website.
Our Mission
The UK ETA system launched in 2025 and many travellers are confused about the requirements. Our goal is simple: help people quickly check if they need an ETA, a visa, or neither — completely free of charge.

Why We Created This Site
After the UK ETA system launched, we noticed many travellers were being scammed by unofficial websites charging £50-150+ for a £16 application. Others were confused about whether their nationality required an ETA or full visa.
