How to Avoid Scam Sites
Many unofficial websites charge £50-150 or more for UK ETA applications. Here's how to stay safe:
- Only apply through GOV.UK – the official UK government website
- Check the URL starts with www.gov.uk
- Never pay more than £16 for an ETA application
- Be suspicious of sites offering 'express' or 'priority' processing
What's included in the £16 fee:
- Full ETA application processing
- 2 years validity (or until passport expires)
- Unlimited entries to the UK
- Up to 6 months stay per visit
